The history of VIGNOBLES POUGEARD

Between tradition, modernity and biodiversity, history continues to be written at Chateau La Piolette.

Famille Pougeard

Once upon a time we had a dream...

Our dream was to find a vineyard where we could build a beautiful family history. The VIGNOBLES POUGEARD adventure began in June 2022 with the discovery of Château la Piolette, where it was love at first sight. Thanks to our passion and determination, on 12 July 2023 our dream became a reality with the acquisition of Château La Piolette.

Château la Piolette: an ideal location

The property boasts a beautiful panoramic view over the 9.6 hectares of vineyards. It comprises a Gironde-style building where we live, 3 gîtes, a swimming pool, a wine-making cellar, an ageing cellar and a storage cellar.

We can welcome you in our tasting room to help you discover our wines and farm products (honey, jam, etc.).

The estate's vines, located on the plains and hillsides, benefit from one of Saint Macaire's wonderful terroirs. The vines are surrounded by trees that allow birds and bats to make the La Piolette vineyards their playground and feeding ground.

This environment of biodiversity allows the vines to be managed in a reasoned way in terms of technical itinerary and treatments.
