Changes in the vineyards for the 2025 vintage: one step closer to biodiversity
At the dawn of the 2025 vintage, our estate is taking a new step in its agroecological transition. Aware of today's climatic and environmental challenges, we are radically rethinking our viticultural practices to encourage biodiversity and strengthen the natural balance of our ecosystem.
Pruning that respects the physiology of the vineAs of
this winter, we have opted for physiological pruning, which is gentler and more respectful of the vine stock. The aim is to extend the life of the plants, limit wood diseases and help the vines to develop in a more harmonious and resilient way.
Total grassing: a living soil, all year roundThe
entire vineyard is now permanently grassed, with no need for mechanical tillage. Two mowings a year are enough to maintain this plant cover, which plays a key role in regulating water levels, protecting against erosion and welcoming auxiliary fauna.
Less intervention, more observationWith
a view to gentler viticulture, we are significantly reducing the number of treatments, by adapting to finer, more localised meteorological criteria. Thanks to climate monitoring tools and regular observations, we only intervene when strictly necessary.
Encouraging wildlife and soil lifeWe
do everything we can to encourage the presence of birds and bats - invaluable allies against harmful insects - but also to nurture soil life, by stimulating microbial and earthworm biodiversity. Refuge zones and nesting boxes have been installed in the plots, and our grass cover forms a veritable 'green screen' for small fauna.
